Carlos Márquez es un artista de Venezuela que ha radicado en España, como profesor de diseño, dibujo y tutor de tesis en ESAT Valencia España.
Se graduó con los títulos de Visual Designer e Ilustrador del Instituto Politécnico de Diseño y del Instituto Europeo de Diseño, en Milán Italia. Dedicando más de 30 años a la docencia, ha asistido en la desarrollo de tres décadas de profesionales creativos de la Comunicación Visual y el Diseño en Venezuela.
Durante casi 20 años, ha realizado obras que investigan y desarrollan técnicas como artista plástico, siendo pionero del arte digital. El trabajo de Marquez es una experiencia multimedia, incluyendo pintura, ilustración, animación, objetos interactivos y NFT.
“Mi obra se manifiesta en el mundo de la ilustración y el arte, conceptualizando entre lo figurativo y lo abstracto. Mi obra es un multiverso en expansión transversal en el tiempo. Tengo una inquietante necesidad de trabajar, las imágenes me invaden hasta que cobran vida en mi obra. Nunca paro de pintar, bien con técnicas tradicionales entre acrílico, óleo, acuarela, tinta, crayones ó perdido por horas igualmente en el mundo digital, paso de una a otra con facilidad y las mezclo. Ese es mi mundo, el que necesito brindar a otros.”

Carlos Márquez is a Venezuelan artist, who works as a professor of design, drawing, and thesis supervisor at ESAT in Valencia, Spain.
He studied visual designer and illustration at the Instituto Politécnico de Diseño and the Instituto Europeo de Diseño, in Milan, Italy. Dedicating over 30 years to teaching, he has assisted in the training of three decades’ worth of creative professionals in Visual Communication and Design in Venezuela.
For almost 20 years, he has created work that investigates and develops his technique as a visual artist, becoming a pioneer of digital art. Marquez’s work is a multimedia experience that encompasses painting, illustration, animation, interactive objects and NFTs.
“My work manifiests itself in the world of illustration and art, conceptualizing something between the figurative and the abstract. My work is an expanding multiverse, transversal in time. I have a haunting urge to work, I am invaded by images until they come to life in my work. I never stop painting, either with traditional techniques like acrylic, oil, watercolour, ink crayons, or equally, I can be lost for hours in the digital world; I go from one to the other easily, even mixing them. That is my world, one that I need to share with others.”
